Easter egg hunts & yummy treats at the Franschhoek Village Market 🐰🍬

Easter festivities for the little ones (and you, of course)!

This Easter, we’ve got a line-up that will have the whole family heading to the Franschhoek Village Market for a weekend of festivities, fun and family.

Our Saturday market includes an extra ton of fun for the kids:

  • We’re hosting an Easter egg hunt in the children's play area for the young ones at 12pm.
  • And an arts area will be set up for the children to draw their Easter pictures.

So moms, dads and grandparents – bring the entire family, from 9am to 3pm, for an Easter fun day out at the Franschhoek Village Market under the spacious, open oak trees.

Making the most of the long weekend…

We’re doubling-up on the Easter fun by adding a Sunday Pop-up to the weekend’s line-up!

Join us Sunday, 4 April, to share Easter Sunday safely with Franschhoek’s locals, traders and visitors. We’ve got yummy treats for the kids and live entertainment to fill your market day from 10am – 3pm.

Delve into Jurie’s books

If you've visited our market, you'll no doubt have seen the large table in the middle of the market, FILLED with books of every kind.

This is where our #TraderTuesday, Jurie Adendorf, lives out his dream every Saturday: to provide a wide range of affordable books for education, self-development, entertainment and inspiration.

Jurie joined the market in 2013. And over these past 8 years, he has enjoyed meeting people from around the world. But when is Jurie at his happiest? When he sees people of all ages getting lost in the pages of one of his enticing books.

Through the lens – autumn in Franschhoek

What do you love about autumn? Perhaps the colours of the leaves on the trees throughout our little town? Or the slightly cooler days and mild evenings? Enjoy autumn in Franschhoek as we look through the lens of locals, visitors and businesses.
