Can you guess why we’re smiling? 😀

Here at the market, we’re all smiling, ear to ear

Today marks #WorldSmileDay, and why wouldn’t we be smiling? We’re moving to a better “new normal”, the warm summer season is around the corner, our borders are opening to tourists AND it’s the weekend (which means market time)!

All our traders are smiling from ear to ear, as they welcome you to the Franschhoek Village Market every Saturday (if the weather permits), and to thank you for all your support.

As summer arrives, it’s time for our Sunday POP-UP markets!

We’re kicking off our Sunday pop-up markets THIS WEEKEND (Sunday, 4 October)! Family, friends, children and furry friends are all invited to our usual Saturday market AND Sunday pop-up.

Will you be joining us? Keep an eye out on our social media for more on the pop-up dates.

A VOICE FOR OUR RHINOS

"I'm very inspired by Rhinos. They are peaceful and defenceless animals, and someone has to be there to protect them. They shouldn't be killed for useless reasons." This is according to artist and Franschhoek Village Market trader, Michael Zhanse. Since 2003, Michael has perfected the art of burning his images onto wood or using perspex to craft his Rhino designs, which he uses to raise awareness for the plight of the Rhino every Saturday. Michael's other dream is to grow his business, and inspire others to live their dreams. Visitors from near and far can enjoy his amazing handmade craft at our market every weekend. Thank you to every visitor to our market, who has helped make his dream become a reality.
